The golden wedding anniversary
Charles and Joan were celebrating their 50 years of marriage together. Charles turned to Joan and said, "After being married these 50 years, for better for worse,in sickness and in health, we can be perfectly honest with each other, can't we?"
Joan looked at Charles and said, "I think that is true."
Charles said, "I have a question for you. I want you to be perfectly honest with me and I will won't mind anything you say. I just need to know after all of these years."
Joan said, "Just ask and I will try to answer if I can."
Charles said, "We have had these 6 wonderful sons of whom I have been proud. However, one of them was quite different from his 5 brothers. Now you can be honest with me and I won't say anything regardless of your answer. Again, you can tell me truthfully and I will understand. Did that sixth son have a different father."
Joan said after a minute, "Yes."
Charles pondered on that for a while. Then he said, "May I ask who was the father.?"
Joan sat for a minute and then said, "You."
